My final research paper serves as an overview of Mary Wigman’s life, ideals, and works. I examine her role in Germany between the world wars, and her relationship to National Socialism.  I discuss how this interaction influenced her choreographic works, and general beliefs. I also explore her relationship with Laban, his influence on her work/attitude, and in particular his ideas of  mystical connection between dancers and the cosmos.
